The advice I would give to a student who is beginning this course will be that write down the steps to see if every step makes sense. Sometimes functions can be long so its really important to organize it well and make sure you have met all the conditions. I also recommend doing all the questions that are posted on the website for tutorials because it will help to make sure if you are understanding the material as well as it helps to do better on the quizzes.  Also, I would recommend going to office hours because its hard to move on if you don’t understand something. I felt the first week for this course very easy and then it got kind of complicated when the definitions for the functions got more complex. I think making sure you get the material right after the lecture would be very helpful to keep up with the materials introduced.         For me, going to office hour for working on my project really helped because I was stuck in one definition for long time

I did my second project this week. It felt easier to complete this one than the first project. I think its because I am more used to designing definition for a function. We needed to test the function virulence, duration and immunity and how these affect the spread of infection. The steps to building a design required many definitions to design and at the end I was able to get a moving model which allows to test how increasing or decreasing the virulence, duration and immunity affect the infection in a population. It was very interesting to see how we can use DrRacket to study the spread of infection.

The quiz for this week required lot of steps to get the final result. I was kind of unsure how much I have to write in order to get full credit. Other than that it was understandable. I started working on the second project and I got through about half of it. I should go to office hours next week to get help because I am stuck in one of the definitions.
